Benefits of NeuroJust TMS Therapy

No Systemic Side Effects

Unlike medications and ECT (electroconvulsive therapy), TMS does not cause unpleasant systemic side effects, such as nausea, constipation, weight gain, sleeping problems, dizziness, muscle spasms, or memory loss.

TMS Is More Effective Than Medications

The Star* D study proved that with each antidepressant medication trial the rate of efficacy is significantly reduced. In fact, by the time you try your fourth medication there is only about a 27% chance that the medication will be effective.

The rate of efficacy with TMS is greater than 70%. This means that greater than 70% of those who receive TMS will benefit. While TMS is not a permanent cure for depression or other mental health conditions, the average length of symptom relief is around 12 months. Therefore, in order to maintain your state of remission, maintenance therapy sessions or repeat therapy can help to sustain freedom from depression symptoms.

TMS Offers Long-Term Relief

Unlike medications, TMS offers long-term relief and remission from the debilitating symptoms of depression and other mental health conditions. While every patient responds differently to treatment, the average length of remission is approximately 12 months.

FDA Approved

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) was first approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of depression in adult patients in 2008. TMS is the most advanced form of FDA-approved treatment for major depressive disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).

  • Millions of patients have achieved reflief from depression with TMS since 2008

  • FDA approved and covered by most insurance plans, including Medicare and Tri-Care

  • Outpatient treatment with no systemic side effects, no downtime, non-invasive

  • Freedom from depressive symptoms in just 6-weeks with long lasting results

Remission from Depression is Possible with TMS Therapy

TMS can be a life-changing, life-giving treatment for patients suffering from moderate to severe major depressive disorder (commonly referred to as treatment-resistant depression).

TMS involves the use of a magnetic coil, placed on a specific area of the scalp, to deliver a train of magnetic impulses which stimulate under-active neurons. Over a short period of time, typically 20-36 treatment sessions, these neurons begin to 'awaken' and perform their job. While TMS is not a permanent cure for depression, nearly 70% of the patients treated can expect to receive a significant reduction in their depressive symptoms, and many patients achieve complete remission.
